About
My project proposal consists of a wellness triptych series that highlights quotes emphasizing the importance of your environment, belief, and consciousness. By focusing on overall presence, this message is further reinforced with a concise color palette and bubbly illustrations featuring human characters in a state of being present.
Color Palette
In the message of mindfulness, the color brown is used for the quote not only for legibility, but also because it signifies earthiness and support, which further add to the overall themes of the poster series. The colors orange and yellow tones bring forth friendliness, confidence, optimism, and creativity, and are used as the central background theme. Additionally, there is a spot of purple on each poster signifying the spirituality and wisdom the series is meant to convey. Finally, white is used for the main titles to ensure clarity and legibility when viewed from a distance.
Typography
Josefin Sans is an elegant font with a vintage feeling. It is excellent when used in larger formats such as titles and quotes within a poster. This is not only for legibility, but also because its geometric forms further enhance the illustrative style of the series.
Mood Board
On the left is a mood board inspired by the keywords "Environment, Habit, and Mindfulness." I wanted to capture this essence and create a triptych in an illustrative style that highlights the characters' peaceful feelings.
The challenge was to ensure that all three posters work together with a unifying theme and aesthetic. Accessibility was a significant factor, as the poster would be seen from afar and up close.
